Rotary is a worldwide network of Community Volunteers. It’s an organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto “Service Above Self”, Rotary’s main objective is service: in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
The "Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do" is a test used by Rotarians world-wide as a moral code for personal and business relationships.
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The Leonardtown Rotary Club was chartered on July 1, 1986 with twenty-five members. In our 29 year history we have supported local programs that address community needs. Individual members have given generously to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) that provides support for international projects that advance education, poverty mitigation, literacy, water sanitation projects and polio eradication. In addition, the club has provided resources and management of international projects targeting scholarships for underprivileged high-schoolers in New Delhi India, refurbished computersm, a digital library in India, as well as safe drinking water projects in Honduras and Africa. We actively participate in the Youth Exchange Program and have hosted and sent High School students around the world.
